Laughter increases by the minute in this Southern-fried farce.

Spend an outrageously funny day with the Wilburn family of Mayhew Arkansas as they try to save their fishing lodge from the likes of gangsters, love-starved females, jealous husbands, ruthless corporate executives, and a cranky senior citizen packing heat.

In the crazy romp that ensues, they all hide, lie and chase one another throughout the lodge. By the chaotic climax of this one remarkable day everyone changes in surprising ways.

This is a laugh-‘til-your-sides-ache Jones Hope Wooten Comedy!

News

Brighton Barn Theatre lost its long time President on May 2nd after a lengthy illness.  Art Middleton, or J Arthur as he always liked to be listed in our programs, had been President for as long as most of us can remember.

For almost 20 years, in addition to his presidential duties, Art also produced plays, was our Technical Director, set designer,  lighting designer and operator.  We have always been blessed that Art and his construction team had our sets "ready to go" so that our casts could rehearse on them as quickly as possible.

Art was truly committed to our Brighton Barn Theatre, having moved from Cobourg to Brighton, just five minutes away from the theatre, when he became President.

Despite his illness, Art last designed the set and lighting for Norm Foster's "Jenny's House of Joy" which ran April - May this 2025 season and was a tremendous success.

His talents and dedication will surely be missed.
