"Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened." -Dr. Seuss
Ever wonder about lost loves? People who once meant so much to you, but are no longer a part of your life? Like oil and water, you just didn't mix over time? Ever wonder what happened to them?
A chance meeting in a restaurant, after four years apart, sends a couple flashing back through the highs and lows of their relationship and marriage. This story is a delightful and often heart-breaking look at the rollercoaster ride of a relationship, perhaps at times reflecting your own.

News

Brighton Barn Theatre lost its long time President on May 2nd after a lengthy illness.  Art Middleton, or J Arthur as he always liked to be listed in our programs, had been President for as long as most of us can remember.

For almost 20 years, in addition to his presidential duties, Art also produced plays, was our Technical Director, set designer,  lighting designer and operator.  We have always been blessed that Art and his construction team had our sets "ready to go" so that our casts could rehearse on them as quickly as possible.

Art was truly committed to our Brighton Barn Theatre, having moved from Cobourg to Brighton, just five minutes away from the theatre, when he became President.

Despite his illness, Art last designed the set and lighting for Norm Foster's "Jenny's House of Joy" which ran April - May this 2025 season and was a tremendous success.

His talents and dedication will surely be missed.
